Straitjacket Smile, formed in June of 1992, was based out of New Orleans, LA, and featured several of Louisiana's top talents. Within a year the band managed to climb to the top of the Louisiana music scene and earned opening spots for such heavy-weights as Kansas, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, Zebra, Lillian Axe and Foreigner. They performed extensively in and around the South East United States promoting and selling out of a six song EP entitled "Temporary Sanity". The band recieved many requests at rock radio stations and developed a large regional following. With addictive, hard rock songs, a high energy show and vocal harmonies reminiscent of influential bands of the the 70's, Straitjacket Smile combined the perfect mixture of sight and sound, melodic rock performance.
